Environmental Art in Schools.
Celebrating nature and our togetherness.

“Song lines”  is a very unique way to create art, based on  Aboriginal ways of living.
It encompasses taking part a variety of Art forms in Celebration of Nature and our togetherness.

The educational workshop includes:
  • Story telling and group co create story games.
  • A nature walks in a local Park or Nature reserve near the school ( or play ground yet the journey of discovery happens best when in a green environment.)
  • The joint creation of a Mandala, yet everyone has it own individual input to the final work. Mandalas can be found in many tribal cultures around the world. They are circular shapes sculpture representing the world or the universe often made out of natural materials such as found objects, natural elements or again sand or pebbles. They are therefore ephemeral works which disintegrate over time. See picture attached. Mandalas mean unity and harmony in Sanskrit.
  • We will also bring gentle breathing and movements exercices for our bodies to relax alongside some circle dancing to make it fun and joyous.

The workshops can be adapted to the children's needs and abilities as well as Schools curriculum.
Ranging from one Hour, to half a day or a whole day workshop. Working from one to several classes depending on schools agendas and budgets.
